When you put information in your own words by summarizing or paraphrasing, you must cite the original author.and apa recommends that you also include a page or paragraph number to "help an interested reader locate the relevant passage?

(MY GUESS) i don't think you have to quote if you paraphrased but every teacher is different so....
BUT if you copy directly thats called plagiarism and if you get caught you could even go to jail
