Can you explain the difference between a standard printer reset and a factory reset?

A standard printer reset clears the printer's memory and restores it to its original settings. A factory reset, however, erases all data on the printer and returns it to its original state, effectively resetting the printer to its factory configuration. This is a more drastic measure.
