Question
My internet seems fine for other games, but Destiny 2 consistently gives me CAT errors on PS5 without updates. What could be unique network conflicts specific to Destiny 2?

Destiny 2 can be more sensitive to specific network configurations than other games. It heavily relies on stable connections to Bungie servers and often uses peer-to-peer (P2P) connections for activities, making NAT type particularly crucial (Type 1 or 2 is ideal). Your router's firewall or QoS (Quality of Service) settings might inadvertently block or throttle Destiny 2's traffic. Ensure UPnP is enabled on your router, or consider manually forwarding Destiny 2's specific ports (TCP: 80, 443, 1119-1120, 3074, 3724, 4000, 6112, 6120-6121, 843, 3478-3480; UDP: 3074, 3478-3479) if other solutions fail.
