Hi there!
• Radius = [tex]\dfrac{10}{2}[/tex] ft = 5 ft.
Area of the fountain = πr² = 3.14 x (5)² = 78.5 ft²
•Radius for fountain n' walk = [tex]\dfrac{10 + 3}{2}[/tex] = [tex]\dfrac{13}{2}[/tex] = 6.5 ft
Area of fountain n' walk = πr² = 3.14 x (6.5)² = 132. 6 ft²
| Area of th' Circular walk |
132.6 - 78.5 ft² = 54. 1 ft²
ar( Larger circle ) - ar( Smaller circle )
Hence,
The area of the walk around the fountain is 54. 1 ft²
~ Hope it helps!
