An incorrect system time can cause SSL errors because SSL certificates have validity periods. If your system time is significantly off, the certificate might appear to be expired or not yet valid. Ensure your system time is synchronized with an internet time server by going to Control Panel > Clock, Display, and Region > Date and Time > Internet Time. Check 'Synchronize with an internet time server'.
